Alleged iPhone 5 design schematics “confirms” a larger display

There has been a lot of rumors and speculation of Apple’s next-gen iPhone featuring a larger display. This has been corroborated with recent leaks that have shown the backplates (here and here) of the purported device. Based on the photos, Apple’s iPhone 5 is expected to feature a larger display, possibly measuring 3.95” and will also be thinner and sport a smaller dock connector. Looking to “confirm” those rumors, iPhone repair firm, iLab Factory, appears to have managed to obtain what they’re claiming is the design schematic for the iPhone 5.

Based on the schematic (pictured above), it does seem to corroborate the leaked components that suggests the iPhone 5 will come with a larger display. The design also seems to be in line with the “actual product”. Then again given that how many were convinced that the iPhone 4S would feature a larger display and a capacitive home button last year (which did not pan out in the end), we could be facing a similar situation with these purported leaks.

Assuming Apple keeps to their schedule, the next-gen iPhone is set for a launch possibly in the Fall of 2012, therefore giving us plenty of time for other rumors and leaks that may either support these claims or completely debunk them. Until the actual announcement, we suggest taking this with a grain of salt.
