2013 Cadillac XTS to be equipped with iPad tablets

Last year, we wrote about the 2013 Cadillac XTS and that it will sport premium Bose sound systems and a control and alert feature. Today, Cadillac is looking forward to up the ante by providing owners with an Apple iPad to help users get accustomed to the Caddy’s features – particularly its Cadillac User Experience a.k.a. CUE infotainment system. Mark Harland, Cadillac’s head of customer experience spoke to Wired and said that the company wants to be the leader in customer experience. “We need to think about helping with the learning curve. Even if you get a walk-through at the dealership, you’re going to forget about a lot of the features. And we want the customer to learn about CUE on their own time,” Harland added.

The inclusion of the iPad on the 2013 Cadillac XTS is part of the company’s strategy to introduce its new technologies to its customers. Each iPad will be preloaded with OnStar RemoteLink, MyCadillac and an app that simulates the CUE user experience, thus, allowing owners to familiarize themselves with all the functionality of the new infotainment system at their own pace. Furthermore, the team responsible for CUE will try its best to provide support by answering questions in Cadillac forums and other community-related sites.
