Virginia Carrier nTelos to Carry iPhone 4S for $50 off

Everybody expected T-Mobile to be the next carrier that would be bringing Apple’s iPhone 4S to its customers. But lo and behold it looks like Virginia based carrier nTelos has beaten the relatively larger carrier to it. The nationally-focussed carrier will start selling the iPhone 4S at 7am on April 20th with pre-registrations to purchase the device starting immediately.

The iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 will be available for $50 less than usual. The 8GB iPhone 4 will sell at $50 on a contract while the 16GB iPhone 4S will go for $150. Although the plans for nTelos seem a little high, it gives heavy users a very good deal (thank you MacRumors). The starter plan at $80 while slightly more than Sprint’s, provides both 600 minutes of calling and unlimited texting and data (which will be throttled after 5GB).

Moving up to the $100 plan will see users receiving unlimited voice. The carrier getting the iPhone will make it the 5th after C Spire and since the Virginian carrier uses CDMA, it can share the same basic frequencies as its rivals Sprint and Verizon.
