Sony Xperia P stops by the FCC
Sony fans, if you were excited about the prospect of the Xperia P arriving stateside, you could be in luck. The device was recently spotted at the FCC sporting quadband GSM radios (850/900/1800/1900), HSPA capabilities, WiFi, GPS, and RFID. Unfortunately there were no clues that might suggest which carrier it could arrive on, so it looks like we’ll have to play the waiting game for now and see if and when any of the carriers will be picking up the device.
The Xperia P was outed earlier this year at MWC, and for those who might have missed our coverage, the Xperia P will feature a 4” display, a 1GHz dual-core processor, 16GB of internal storage, 1GB of RAM, an 8MP rear-facing camera, a VGA front-facing camera and will come with Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread preinstalled. The device is expected to see a release in April, so if it were to arrive stateside, we guess we don’t have to wait much longer.
