Revolutionary Mosaic Kickstarter wants to turn your photos into a giant piece of art

We take a lot of photos with our smartphones, no doubt about that. The convenience plus the increasing level of quality has quickly turned our phones into our go-to cameras for those impromptu moments. Let’s not forget that apps such as Instagram or Hipstamatic have changed the way that we take photos, turning otherwise boring images into something a bit more visually appealing. So instead of taking those photos and just uploading them onto Facebook, app developer Ian Tuason hopes to take all of your iPhone photos and turn it into one giant mosaic.

“We all have this powerful tool in our pockets, and it only takes a gentle tap to take a photo, to capture a moment, and to share our perspective to the world. So let’s turn that tap into a tidal wave. Let’s make that first iconic image from our generation be a collection of all our perspectives joined together.”

The project will essentially be an app dubbed the Revolution Mosaic App and basically photos snapped with the app will be submitted and the mosaic will slowly begin to form over the course of submissions. Unfortunately only 360,000 photos will be used, so if you’d like to see a photo you’ve taken become part of “history”, head on over to its Kickstarter page where pledges are limited but still available.
