For all of you out there who have been keeping a keen eye out and waiting for the credit-card sized computer to finally hit your doorstep, do we have good news for you. After the Raspberry Pi was spotted at the FCC and getting through all the necessary compliance tests and other official processes, we knew that the shipping phase was imminent, now the Raspberry Pi computers have finally started shipping. For now, the $35 Model B versions will be making its way to your house but the cheaper $25 Model A will still be taking some time.
After dealing with orders that backed up their servers, the Raspberry Pi Foundation will not have to work to catch up with the backlog of orders that caused the previous system crash. Online reports have stated that suppliers have predicted a delivery date sometime in May but it would be very interesting if that date could be brought forward. As before, the foundation behind the Raspberry Pi computer will be dealing with orders in the same way as they came in so whoever ordered first will be reportedly getting their new gadget first. Once you have received your Raspberry Pi, do let us know what you think about it because we are equally excited about this pint-sized powerhouse.
