According to VRZone who got their hands on the leaked roadmap, it seems that the first Tegra 4 “Wayne” SoC we can expect from NVIDIA will be in Q1 of 2013. It has been given the model number T40 and will feature a 1.8GHz Cortex A15 processor. The remaining Tegra 4 models are expected for Q3 of 2013, but most interesting is the SP3X SoC which not only has the potential to be clocked at speeds of 2.0GHz, but it could be the first Tegra chip with LTE100/HSPA42.
If proven to be true, this is quite a bit step for NVIDIA as their currently Tegra 3 chips have no support for LTE. This has resulted in LTE models of the HTC One X to swap out the quad-core processor in favor of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 chipset. NVIDIA has yet to officially confirm this roadmap, but until they do, we suggest you take this with a grain of salt for now.
