Logitech introduces TAA-compliant products for the Feds
Logitech, a company that is well known for its range of computer peripherals as well as speakers, has just released a keyboard, a couple of mice and a keyboard/mouse combo specially for U.S. federal agencies that are covered by the Trade Agreements Act. According to the Trade Agreements Act of 1979 (TAA), it would require federal agencies to purchase products, computer peripherals included, which are manufactured in the US itself as well as other designated countries. Logitech would fall under the purview of “other designated countries”, having manufactured the TAA-compliant products in Taiwan. Without further ado, they are the Logitech Keyboard K120-TAA, with a spill-resistant corded USB design, the Logitech Mouse B100-TAA with high-definition optical tracking and a corded USB connector, the Logitech Mouse B120-TAA that has a corded PS/2 connector in addition to USB, and a combo of the Logitech Keyboard K120-TAA and the Logitech Mouse B100-TAA, where they will retail for $19.99, $14.99, $19.99 and $34.99, respectively. Does this mean it is all right to spill water all over the keyboard at a government agency now? [Press Release]
