Google Drive was recently introduced to the masses, and it has already arrived and went past the 5 million download mark. Do bear in mind, however, that this is also a reflection of downloads for the Google Docs application. At point of publishing, the deep level of integration with Google Docs does make Google Drive appear as though it is more of an upgrade to Google Docs itself rather than a stand-alone service. Google Drive might be seen by certain quarters to be a direct competitor to the likes of Dropbox and SkyDrive, but it does open up yet another market altogether, complementing what other cloud storage solutions that are already in the market instead of being an “exclusive must have” service that forces consumers to choose just one at the end of the day. What do you think, and how do you like your experience with Google Drive considering how you have given it a go already?
