I clearly remember back when Gmail was made available to the masses, everyone was scrambling to get invited to the beta service, simply because it was cool to have what many of us deemed as virtually unlimited storage space for your email needs. Fast forward to today, and 7.5GB does not sound like much – I myself have already used up 91% of my Gmail account, so it is with a light heart that I received this bit of news – Google has decided to bump up Gmail’s total storage space to 10GB, as part of a celebration of the Google Drive launch. I checked my Gmail account, and the increase has yet to take effect, but Google has promised the world that within the next 24 hours, you ought to get 33% more storage space than before. Assuming you have more or less maxed out your Gmail account prior to this announcement, how would you better manage the use of the additional storage space in the future?
