Foxconn recruiter suggests June iPhone 5 launch

There have been a fair bit of rumors suggesting that Apple’s next-generation iPhone (the iPhone 5 or the new iPhone) could be seeing a launch in June. While that certainly might have been true for previous iPhones prior to the iPhone 4S, the launch of the 4S back in the fall of 2011 has since pretty much killed expectations of a mid-year launch. One Foxconn recruiter does not seem to think so and was quoted as saying on television that the iPhone 5 is expected to go on sale in June.

This was part of an interview conducted by TV Tokyo where the Foxconn recruiter was also quoted as saying that the company is currently looking to hire an additional 18,000 workers to help with the iPhone 5’s production. We highly doubt that a Foxconn recruiter would be privy to the details of the iPhone 5’s launch so we will keep the speculation down to a minimum and take it with a grain of salt for now. While a mid-year launch seems unlikely, kickstarting the production of the iPhone 5 mid-year or even earlier for a possible fall release would make more sense, what do you guys think?
