A couple of days ago we reported that Blizzard had apparently opened up the Diablo 3 beta to pretty much anyone with a Battle.net account. At that that time, it was not official and there were a smattering of reports here and there regarding the open beta. Well the good news is that if you can’t wait for the 15th of May launch of Blizzard’s highly-anticipated Diablo 3, or if you want to see what all the fuss is about before deciding to purchase the game, it looks like it has been made official: Blizzard has announced the Diablo 3 open beta weekend!
Starting from today (Friday, 20th April 12:01pm PDT) until Monday (23rd April, 10am PDT), Blizzard will be opening the doors to the Diablo 3 beta for pretty much anyone with a valid Battle.net account. The goal behind this move is to stress test the Battle.net servers to see if it will hold the massive influx of players that Blizzard is expecting on the first day of the game’s launch. Players will have access to all five classes – Demon Hunter, Barbarian, Witch Doctor, Wizard, Monk – and will be able to play up to level 13. So, what are you waiting for?
