Apple granted wireless sync patent
iOS users are probably familiar with the ability of their devices to sync with iTunes or iCloud wirelessly. This is a feature that allows new iOS users to load up their devices without the need to plug it into their computers for the first time, and for syncing across a variety of iOS devices, such as iPods, iPads and iPhone. Now it looks like this particular feature is a patent that has been recently granted to Apple. According to Patently Apple, this patent was filed back in 2004 and is described as the auto syncing of information between a host computer and a media player over a wireless connection. Granted that the feature was not seen until quite recently, we guess Apple had filed this patent as a safeguard against their competitors who might have come into the market with a similar feature before they did.
