The asking price of $1,900 for the Adaptrac does seem to be on the high side though for this added bit of convenience, clearly placing it out of reach of ordinary folks, reserving it for the echelons of the elite at the moment. A toggle that is mounted on the handlebars will let you adjust the pressure on-the-fly so that you need not break out the pump when you are on the road, and release some air when faced with a particularly rough terrain.
The tire pressures on both the front and rear wheel can be adjusted independently of one another, but you are limited to the amount of air on the tank of carbon dioxide that is provided, where it will come in different sizes, ranging from 4 to 20 ounces. A 12-ounce tank is said to be able to offer up to 10 pressure cycles between 20 and 50 pounds per square inch, while the included gauges will let you know just what the exact pressure is.
