Since the Notion Ink Adam 2 was announced, we have been able to find out a few of its specifications but not everything. While we are yet to be able to dig up more of the specifications that will come along with this device, we do have news regarding something that definitely will not be coming along with the reported Ice Cream Sandwich running Adam 2 tablet, a HD screen which is equipped on some of its competitors’ tablets.
According to a blog post by Notion Ink’s Rohan Shravan, the company was looking at the option of a 10-inch 1920 x 1200 display, but stated that the decision to use it would have meant a significant hit to battery life of other compromises such as weight, size and charging time that the company was not willing to make. While Shravan went on to say that the HD resolution screen was on the company’s roadmap, he made no mention of what screen the Adam 2 would be receiving. He also said that in order to implement the HD screen in future, the company wants to figure out how to improve the battery in such a way that it doesn’t increase in size but in capacity and lifespan.
