While the rest of the device’s hardware specs remain unknown, what has been “confirmed” by Sprint Feed is that the device will be powered by Qualcomm’s MSM8960 SoC which seems to corroborate earlier rumors that the carrier was eyeing the chipset for a possible dual-core Windows Phone device for the future. So when can we see this rumored LTE capable Windows Phone device from Sprint?
If Sprint Feed’s sources are to be trusted, it seems that a Fall release is the earliest we can expect it as the device has apparently bee scheduled to go through a battery of testing before being made available to the public. In any case a Fall release would also suggest that the device could be launched with Windows Phone 8 “Apollo” on board, but either way we suggest taking this with a grain of salt for now until more concrete evidence has been uncovered.
