Earlier this morning, we discussed the possibility of Panasonic rolling out an Android-powered digital camera, and here is word that there might actually be something of that sort down the road with Samsung filing for a trademark for “Galaxy Camera”, hence expanding the Galaxy family even more. Samsung revealed that they are currently working on a new digital camera that works with an “open operating system” – and what better OS than Android at the moment, considering Samsung’s foray into the Android smartphone scene? Sure, they might be able to give their very own bada OS a go, but considering how small bada OS’ market share is, it would make far more sense to rely on Android. Engadget claims that a Samsung exec mentioned that the South Korean company is “considering Android-based because our smartphone is Android-based.” If this is true, will the camera come with Instagram pre-loaded?
