Samsung announces Galaxy Player 70 Plus
Looking for an Android portable media player to set yourself apart from the sea of iPod touches? Well if you enjoyed Samsung’s offering last year in the form of the Galaxy Player 70, you will be pleased to hear that the South Korean company has launched an upgrade in the form of the Galaxy Player 70 Plus. Unfortunately at the moment it appears to be available only in South Korea, and no word from Samsung if and when an international launch will take place.
As far as its hardware is concerned, the Galaxy Player 70 Plus sports a dual-core processor under its hood, a 2,500mAh battery, a 5” display, a 5MP rear-facing camera, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth connectivity, FM radio, T-DMB, a microSD card slot for memory expansion and it will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It will also come in two different sizes – a 16GB model priced at ₩399,000 (~$357), and a 32GB model which will come with a price tag of ₩469,000 (~$419).
