iPhone 4S microscope is just a drop of water away

If you think that the iPhone 4S is the bomb, then here is something that might just pique your interest in making the most out of your handset. All you need is a drop of water. Yes, I said a drop of water. Don’t fret now, this water drop will be placed on the iPhone 4S’ camera lens, and when you turn it over (carefully), the suspended droplet functions as a liquid lens. I suppose it will take some time before you actually get it done right, and the sample images that are captured with this “hack” is nothing short of extraordinary – looking dreamy while maintaining blurred edges. Not only that, the small objects captured have been magnified with sufficient resolution, turning your iPhone 4S into an impromptu microscope.

Basically, larger and rounder droplets result in higher magnification, and in time, the droplet will evaporate, reducing the magnification power. Just make sure the iPhone 4S is placed on a stable platform in order to maximize clarity.
