So we know that come 7th of March, Apple will be announcing their next-generation iPad, the iPad 3 (or iPad HD as recent rumors seem to have suggested). But how much will it cost? Well a set of rumors from last week seems to suggest that the iPad 3 will cost more than the iPad 2, a piece of news which undoubtedly did not sit well with many iPad 3 hopefuls. Well thanks to 9to5 Mac’s source, Mr. X (who has been pretty reliable so far), it seems that the iPad is expected to cost the same as the iPad 2 (pricing matrix pictured above).
It has also been revealed that the configurations for the tablet will be the same, meaning that we can expect 16GB/32GB/64GB models, which contradicts earlier rumors that suggested a more affordable 8GB model, although that could still hold true but might extend only to the iPad 2.
