HP Printing and Personal Systems Group announced
As speculated yesterday, HP has decided to merge both their printing as well as personal computer system groups under a single portfolio, in an effort to improve performance as well as drive profitable growth across the whole HP portfolio. This new entity will see Todd Bradley at the helm, and Todd himself is no stranger to HP, considering how he has been the executive vice president of the Personal Systems Group (PSG) for more than half a dozen years already. As for Vyomesh Joshi, executive vice president of IPG, he will be stepping down after spending a good 31 years of his life working at HP.
HP hopes that this merger will be able to rationalize HP’s go-to-market strategy, branding, supply chain and customer support worldwide, resulting in (keep your fingers crossed) an improved customer experience, while driving innovation across personal computing and printing platforms.
