AppleCare+ rumored for iPad 3
When Apple first rolled out their AppleCare+ warranty program in October 2011 to keep the iPhone 4S company, it was not exactly the best received item from Cupertino to date. Sure, the $99 service added up to a couple of incidents of accidental damage coverage, sporting a deductible of $49, but it remains to be seen whether those dollars are worth it or not. I guess it is a matter of perspective – similar to purchasing insurance. Bad things do not happen with a warning most of the time anyways. MacRumors did pick up some whispers on the road that Apple will be introducing AppleCare+ for iPad from Wednesday onwards – that is March 7th, and just in case you thought that you had heard this date bandied about somewhere before, that is because Apple will be introducing what most folks figure out would be the iPad 3. The rumor also points to this service costing $99, and is said to phase out the current $79 standard AppleCare package. What do you think of the AppleCare+ program? Just stay tuned to our live blog for more details tomorrow morning.
