Acer remains committmed to the Windows Phone platform

When it comes to Windows Phone devices, most of us think of either Nokia with their series of affordable Lumia handsets, or perhaps even HTC with their HTC Titan II device, and not to be left out of the loop, Acer has recently come forward and stated that the company remains fully committed with to the Windows Phone platform (along with Android) by offering options to customers with different needs.

This was revealed in an exclusive interview given to Windows Phone Italy by Acer Italy’s Business Manager, Augusto Zumbo. This was probably brought on by the fact that Acer currently only has one Windows Phone device in the market, the Acer Allegro, leaving many to wonder if the company might eventually stop producing Windows Phone devices by focusing on more popular platforms like Android. In any case it looks like it’s a good sign for Microsoft that their manufacturing partners have not completely given up on their platform just yet, and here’s hoping that Acer will reveal more appealing or higher-end Windows Phone devices in the near future.
