Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M3 Ultrabook debuted at CeBIT

[CeBIT 2012] Earlier this year at CES, Acer took the wraps off one of their ultrabook models which was part of their Aspire Timeline Ultra series, and today at CeBIT the company has officially debuted the Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M3 Ultrabook, an ultrabook that’s not only slimmer and lighter than its predecessors, but will also be the first Ultrabook to feature a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GT640M graphics card, a welcome addition for those who require a bit more power when it comes to their graphics.

The Aspire Timeline Ultra M3 will also be the first 15” 2-spindle Ultrabook, which basically means that it will offer an optical drive for DVDs alongside a HDD. The M3 will come in several configurations, one of which features a regular HDD alongside a SSD for “instant-on” capabilities, which Acer is boasting a resume speed of 1.5 seconds from sleep mode, although a SSD-only configuration is also available.

On top of that, the M3 will be powered by the latest Intel Core processor and Acer’s Instant Connect feature that scans and registers most-visited access points, allowing users to connect to the internet in just 2.5 seconds and is reportedly four times faster than conventional methods. It will come with entertainment enhancements which includes Dolby Home Theater v4 and a set of integrated premium speakers.

Acer is also boasting 8 hours of battery life on a single charge, although we’re guessing that will vary from user to user and usage habits. No word on pricing just yet, but for those interested in picking up the Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M3, expect it to be available in stores worldwide by March 2012.
