Samsung and SAP partner up for enterprise-friendly Android devices

Android devices have largely been limited to the consumer market for regular folks like you and I, although lately it seems that the US Government has taken a certain shine to Android and plans to incorporate its software into smartphones for military use. So with the consumer and the government sector covered, that leaves the enterprise sector untapped and that’s where Samsung plans to step in.

In a bid to make their Android-powered smartphones a bit more business friendly, Samsung along with enterprise software maker SAP are said to be working together and will be unveiling their efforts at MWC 2012 next week. Samsung themselves have confirmed this to be the case, but SAP has declined to comment and details remain a bit of a mystery for now, but according to reports, their plans for enterprise-friendly smartphones includes email encryption and compatibility with device-management systems for better remote access, such as remotely updating software along with functions to switch the camera on and off.
