Sony PS3 system software update 4.10
If you happen to own a Sony PS3 console in your home (as long as it is working), you might be pleased to hear that there is a spanking new system software update that is made available, bumping up the version to 4.10 in the process. As always, each new system update will bring along with it a set of changes – as to whether those are major or minor, it remains to be seen. This time around, the moment you are done downloading the new system software, you will be confronted with a question that prompts you to accept a change to Sony’s Terms of Service. In order to achieve a greater level of unity between PlayStation Network (PSN) and other Sony Entertainment Network services, your “PSN Account” will be christened with a new name – “Sony Entertainment Network Account.” Well, like the Bard once put it, a rose by any other name would smell just as sweet – so we believe that the same applies here. Apart from the name change, you will still be able to enjoy your favorite games online, access the latest downloadable games and add-ons, and virtually pick up everything PSN offers. Apart from that, the PS3 Internet Browser will also be updated, and you should experience an improved display speed to boot, in addition to a greater accuracy of content and page layouts. Anyone given the update a go already, and how do you find it? Just make sure you have at least 180MB of free space on the PS3 hard drive or on the removable storage media before proceeding with the update installation.
