If we had to guess, we’d say that the iFrogz Boost speaker is able to do that by placing a finely tuned microphone near the iPhone’s speakers, thus capturing the audio and boosting it to slightly louder levels. However according to iFrogz, this is not the case and the technology used is NearFA, which apparently syncs the audio signal in the phone with the speakers which then is output through its 2W x 2RMS speakers.
The iFrogz Boost speakers can be powered by three AA batteries or through a micro USB cable, and is being advertised as offering up to 15 hours of play time when used with batteries. If you’re interested in picking one up for yourself, head on over to iFrogz’ website where you will be able to order it for $39.99.
