Under the hood, the HTC One X will be powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 quad-core processor and has been clocked at 1.5GHz. It will be accompanied by 1GB of RAM, and will sport a whopping 4.7” Super LCD2 display with a 720p HD resolution made from Corning’s Gorilla Glass, and will come with 32GB of internal storage on board, along with a free subscription to 25GB of DropBox storage for the next 2 years.
The HTC One X will also feature an 8MP rear-facing camera with an LED “Smart Flash” with 5 auto adjustable power levels to help prevent photos from looking too washed out, a dual-shutter camera module that allows users to capture both HD video and photos simultaneously, and will sport a lens with an aperture of f2.0 which should help in low-light scenarios.
Videography enthusiasts will also be pleased to learn that the 8MP camera is also capable of 1080p Full HD video capture, and thanks to Image Sense, HTC is boasting from the Android home page to capturing a photo in 0.7 seconds, and an auto-focus speed of a “superfast” 0.2 seconds. In addition there will also be a 1.3MP front-facing camera for video calls.
Of course we can’t say that we’re surprised to learn that the HTC One X will see Beats Audio integration, and will feature dual-microphones to help with noise reduction and also stereo voice recording. The HTC One X will also support NFC and will be compatible with Google Wallet, and sports a variety of connectivity options, such as HDMI, DLNA, micro USB and the 5-pin layout Pogo Pin Connector, WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0.
The device will come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich preinstalled with the latest HTC Sense 4.0 on board, along with a 1,800mAh battery. There will also be an LTE version of the HTC One X which will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. The HTC One X will be seeing a global launch in April along with its siblings, the One S and One V. So could this really be “the one phone” that we need, or “the one camera” that we need, or “the only device” in which we’ll have our music? We guess only time will tell.
