Google publishes real time share prices from London Stock Exchange
Google has agreed with the London Stock Exchange Group’s (LSEG) terms and conditions, where this partnership will enable them to distribute real-time ‘last trade price’ data – for free, too. Previously, the London Stock Exchange and Borsa Italiana (Italy’s main stock exchange) real-time trading data was available to the masses with a 15-minute delay, and at last, it can be obtained via Google – a first, too! This is part of LSEG’s commitment to make accessible core real-time data services to retail investors everywhere, where this free service is available worldwide as long as you have access to Google.
According to Jarod Hillman, Head of Real-Time Data at LSEG, “This partnership between LSEG and Google is great news for retail investors across the globe. For the first time, Google users will have access to free, real-time last-trade prices, allowing them to make more informed investment decisions.” Do you think that this move will make more folks interested in the share market and thus take the plunge, considering how easily accessible Google is these days?
