According to reports online, Google will be expanding its Googleplex headquarters with even more buildings. It looks like the current facilities aren’t enough for the company to carry out its research and testing because Google is reportedly spending $120 million on the expansion which will consist of one or more testing labs, primarily for Android@home, and other unannounced projects.
In addition to the new labs, a 120,000 square foot museum called the Google Experience Center will also be built for VIPs and potential Google customers to visit. It will also be used to show off Google’s latest products and will be run like a “museum, exhibit, or mercantile space”. No images of the Google expansion have been released (unlike Apple’s “spaceship” campus), but we’re pretty sure it’s going to be impressive yet eco-friendly at the same time.
