If the image above did not already give it away, the Devium Dash is essentially a kit that one can install in their vehicles. It has been designed to replace your stereo unit, but the kicker here is that the driver will be able to dock an iPhone/iPod touch in its place. Featuring a rather plain and minimalistic design, the Devium Dash will feature specs such as 50 watts per channel including subwoofer output, a connection to an external monitor for video playback, and will eventually feature an app that allows for phone calls to be made while in landscape mode.
Naturally controlling of the “radio” will all be done via the iPhone’s display, which makes us wonder how safe can it be compared to controls installed on your car’s steering wheel. Either way if you think that the Devium Dash has some merit, head on over to its Kickstarter page for more information, and where a pledge of $250 will net you the Devium Dash when it is put into production.
