For those unfamiliar, the integration of Beats Audio is said to help enhance the audio quality on your device, and will automatically swap to a Beats Audio specific profile when Beats headphones are plugged into the device. The port is available for the Photon 4G courtesy of XDA forum member, willblake13, who managed to extract the Beats Audio libraries from another developer’s ROM.
The developer has since tested it on different versions of CyanogenMod 7 and CyanogenMod 9 with success, although he has put a disclaimer saying that the difference can only be heard with high-end headphones. Well if you own the Photon 4G and you have a set of high-end headphones, perhaps you’d like to give it a try. Head on over to the XDA forums for more info, and once again – proceed at your own risk!
