Tingle is a popular iPhone dating application in Canada that combines realtime voice chat, location-based discovery, and online matchmaking features. Location-based dating service are more common right now, one good example is Skout.
According to the developer, Tingle offers enhanced safety features such as free Voice Chat over 3g or WiFi that prevents the need to exchange phone number s and location-based spontaneous discoveries without revealing users’ specific location data to strangers. The Radar feature monitors the network for members with matching profiles who are located in the same area and alerts them via Push Messaging that a match is nearby.
Tingle development team built the application using feedback and data from hundred of users of online dating sites, with the goal of putting women in the “dating drivers’ seat” by offering them higher quality interactions, privacy protection and better safety.
Tingle is now available on the iPhone, and canbe downloaded free from App Store or via the tingle.com website. Versions of Tingle for iPad, BlackBerry and Android devices are in development.
