SteelSeries Kana gaming mouse

[CES 2012] SteelSeries delivers yet another gaming mouse with this year’s edition of CES, where the SteelSeries Kana takes to the stage with the moniker of “Designed by Gamers” mouse. What makes the SteelSeries Kana mouse different from the rest is this – it was introduced to SteelSeries fans in the Designed by Gamers Campaign as Mouse 1.1, where over 300,000 gamers had a say in the design choice, while 60,000 “Likes” actually determined the winning Black 1.1 design. Just like general elections, it remains to be seen whether all those perceived support will actually translate to sales in the long run.

Regardless of whether you are a southpaw or not, it would not matter to the SteelSeries Kana since this is an ambidextrous peripheral, sporting an optimized 6-button layout. Apart from that, features include a tournament grade optical sensor of 3600FPS, being full well capable of supporting stable movement at speeds of up to 130 Inches Per Second. There is also an illuminated scroll wheel with LED intensity options so that you can have more style when fragging your opponents or micromanaging your army in a RTS. Two large sized buttons on each side deliver easy rapid-fire response, and Teflon mouse feet lets you glide across most surfaces effortlessly. The SteelSeries Kana will retail for $49.99 and €49.99 if you live across the pond.
