[CES 2012] Nobody likes wires anymore and it’s no surprise that manufacturers are all interested in creating wireless products especially when it comes to audio devices. Philips is one of these companies with the announcement of its new Shoqbox Wireless Portable Speakers. Working via Bluetooth, these portable speakers can receive streaming music wirelessly from your Android and iOS devices.

In addition to streaming your music, the Shoqbox features a built-in microphone, motion sensor, voice feedback and rechargeable battery. If you’re thinking to yourself – it’s just a speaker, what’s with all these additional features? Well, the Shoqbox is certainly built to impress. It features motion gesture capabilities for playback controls, voice prompt for operation feedback, speakerphone capabilities (with its built-in microphone) and the ability to hook up with another Shoqbox to create a stereo system.
And for those of you who don’t have Bluetooth-enabled devices or just want to conserve battery – the speakers feature an AUX-in port for you to plug in your music devices via good ol’ fashioned wires.
