Joining the previously released GuitarConnect Pro, the MIDIConnect and StudioConnect allows users to directly plug in real instruments into their iPad tablets for recording purposes. The MIDIConnect gives you a standard 5-pin DIN MIDI-in port for you to plug in MIDI devices (i.e. keyboards) for recording while a MIDI Out port lets you use the iPad as a MIDI controller.
The StudioConnect is an iPad dock which serves as an all-in-one interface for audio, MIDI-In and MIDI-out, as well as a charger for the tablet. Instruments or microphones can be plugged in through a mono ¼” jack or even a mixer can be attached to the StereoConnect’s stereo 3.5mm jack. The dock has audio out capabilities thanks to its left and right line-level RCA plugs, and a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack with its own volume knob.
MIDIConnect will be on sale this spring for $79.99, while StudioConnect will go on sale in February for $149.99.
