Well, it looks like Google is learning from its mistakes and is trying to rectify the problem. Its first step was the introduction of Ice Cream Sandwich last year to unite all Android smartphones and tablets together and now, it has launched a new website called Android Design to teach developers the “principles, building blocks and patterns for creating world-class Android user interfaces.”
However, take note that Google isn’t enforcing these design rules onto anybody – developers still have the choice to build an app the way they want to, just that now they’ve got some guidelines to help them create an app consistent with the look of Android Ice Cream Sandwich. Will this make things better for the platform? We can only hope so. In the meantime, for those of you who are keen on finding out more about Android Design, you can head on to the website for more information.
