[CES 2012] Fujifilm announced the additions of 3 new models in its DSLR-styled long-zoom S-Series: the FinePix S4200, S4500 and SL300 digital cameras. Despite its more affordable price than the DSLR-styled X-Series and HS-Series, the S-Series offers nonetheless good performance.
The Fujifilm FinePix SL300, the top-of-the-line model, boasts a 30x wide angle long-zoom (24-720mm) with Super Macro Mode as close as 2cm, a bright 3-inch LCD screen, an Electronic Viewfinder, a Dual Image Stabilization CCD sensor, auto focus times as fast 0.35 seconds in low light, HD 720p video capture at 30 fps, High speed continuous shooting up to 8fps, full manual controls (program/shutter-priority/ aperture-priority/manual), mini HDMI out, TTL hot shoe for adding external flashes, and a rechargeable Li-ion power with 260 shots per charge.
The FinePix SL300 will be available in March 2012 and will be priced at $299.95.
The Fujifilm FinePix S4200 and the Fujifilm FinePix S4500 feature a FUJINON 24x long-zoom lens (24-576mm), and a 30x wide angle long-zoom (24-720mm), respectively.
Similarly to the SL300, they both offer Super Macro Mode as close as 2cm, a bright 3-inch LCD screen, an Electronic Viewfinder, a Dual Image Stabilization CCD sensor, auto focus times as fast 0.35 seconds in low light, HD 720p video capture at 30 fps, High speed continuous shooting up to 8fps, full manual controls (program/shutter-priority/ aperture-priority/manual), and mini HDMI out.
However, they do not feature dual zoom control, a TTL hot shoe and they need two AA batteries to operate.
