Asus Transformer Prime gets GPS fix in firmware update

There is a new firmware update rolled out for the Asus Transformer Prime that is said to mend any issues that one has with the GPS lock-on function. Bear in mind that this over-the-air (OTA) patch is different from the firmware update that was rolled out to the masses last week for improved stability purposes. This latest update is said to being the build up to version 8.8.3.33, where it has been touted to “enhance GPS speed” thanks to the automatic downloading of satellite locations tables whenever you are connected to a Wi-Fi network. Of course, the GPS fix is not the only “new” thing that makes it to the market – there are additional changes introduced as well such as better touch response in addition to a superior camera focusing ability. It must be said that this firmware has so far made an appearance on Asus’ Germany Facebook page which is rather strange, so hopefully the Transformer Prime worldwide will be able to get their issues fixed. Are you one of those who are affected by the less-than-reliable GPS on the Asus Transformer Prime?
