Apple announces January 19 education event in New York
Apple certainly places a lot of priority on education just like how the tiger moms do in order to eke out the very best in kids, and this trend does not look as though it is about to stop anytime soon after Apple announced an education event that will be happening at New York’s famous Guggenheim Museum on January 19th later this month. Cupertino’s latest efforts will include introducing an iMac that costs a dollar under the magical $1,000 mark, targeting only the educational market after August this year. However, chances are pretty high (and whispers on the road do point towards this as well) that publishing and iBooks will take centre stage, paving the way for the possibility of digital textbooks making their way into universities, colleges and schools everywhere. Too bad this means you cannot draw funny cartoons in your textbook down the road, but will have to settle for an electronic doodle instead if it all turns out that way.
