Touch screen functionality coming to ultrabooks?

One of the reasons Intel has been pushing the ultrabook standard pretty hard is due to the recent increase of tablet adoption. With laptops starting to look more bulky compared to a tablet, Intel wanted a happy middle that would give users the power of a laptop with the portability of a tablet. Now according to Digitimes’ sources, it seems that ultrabooks may be taking it one step further with touch features.

Ultrabooks are incredibly thin to begin with, and thanks to most ultrabooks featuring SSDs, boot time is pretty darn quick as well, but if Digitimes’ sources are to be believed, it appears that future ultrabooks could potentially feature touch screen technology as well, thus truly blurring the lines between a laptop and a tablet.

While Digitimes has provided some pretty interesting rumors and speculations in the past, their information has been more miss than hit, so we suggest taking this with a grain of salt for now, but what do you guys think? Is touch screen a feature you’d like to see in future ultrabooks, or would you rather go for a tablet like the ASUS Transformer Prime instead?
