Stephen Hawking wants you!

One of the most brilliant minds on this planet belongs to Stephen Hawking, and he needs a geek who has the heart and interest in maintaining his special wheelchair. This particular gadget whiz will be paid a modest £25,000 so that Mr. Hawking’s custom-made ride will keep on rollin’. I can almost see a meme appearing already, with the tag line “They see me thinkin’, they hatin’.” What makes this wheelchair all the more special is its ability to convey what Mr. Hawking wants to say through a robotic voice box.

Needless to say, aspiring applicants would need to have the necessary smarts and skills to repair and tweak the wheelchair’s robot voice box, in addition to other gadgets and mechanical wizardry that it comes with. If successful, you will wear the “Technical Assistant” hat, as you pitter patter about, maintaining the electronic systems in his wheelchair. How come the person/group who built the wheelchair in the first place did not have the proper documentation to ensure easy maintenance later on down the road? Other duties are not that mechanical, as they consist of booking travel arrangements, repairing his modified van, and even help in preparing his lectures, never mind if you can’t tell the difference between the Big Dipper and the Hunter.
