OriHime female humanoid robot

The OriHime female humanoid robot ensures that the battle of the sexes in a digital world continues to have representatives on both fronts, where the OriHime is the brainchild of Kentaro Yoshifuji, a 4th year Engineering student at Waseda University, and decided that the time is right for a new kind of communication robot. With a strong interest in the field of artificial intelligence, the OriHime intends to help one human connect to another, with the robot itself being a conduit, as part of Kentaro’s effort to eliminate or at least minimize loneliness in the world.

Never mind the fact that robotic wheelchairs, beds, and other equipment are able to offer more freedom to hospital patients, those do not do much to alleviate the feelings of isolation and loneliness. The OriHime will come with a camera in order for a human operator to “watch” a live video feed thanks to the presence of an Internet connection. Through the building of a humanoid robot “avatar” that is capable of a variety of expressions and gestures, this certainly does much to do more than what a simple telephone call can convey.
