Google Earth shown off on 48 screens

Google EarthGoogle Earth is a pretty amazing service from Google which allows you to check out the whole world from the comfort of your own living room. And while most of us are content with browsing the earth on our computer monitors, Google decided to push the boundaries of the experience by developing Liquid Galaxy – a method of displaying Google Earth on multiple displays; giving a larger and more immersive experience to the world exploring service.

A couple of years later, Liquid Galaxy has now been used to create what is believed to be the largest screen showing Google Earth to date. Made up of 48 displays almost 100 million pixels and measuring about 40 square meters, this impressive display is now available in the Paris Center for Architecture and Urbanism.
