Brookstone’s docking station for the iPad is portable

The problem with most speaker docks for tablets is that they tend to lean towards the not-so portable side. However if you feel like you need a set of speakers with you wherever you go to accompany the movies/music that you watch on your iPad, Brookstone’s Portable iPad Docking Station could be worth checking out.

Now it appears that one of the selling points of the docking station is its ability to fold up, thus allowing you to slip it into your backpack or brief case while on the go. It will also feature a stand that lets you flip your iPad into either landscape or portrait views depending on your needs, and will come with two built-in speakers that supposed pumps out rich bass and mid-ranged tones.

The dock can be powered by either power adapter or 3 AAA batteries for those moments when carrying a power adapter may not be the most convenient solution.
