Archos Smart Home Phone arrives at the FCC
The folks over at the FCC have recently gotten hold of the Archos Smart Home Phone, where the FCC Test Report describes it as “a handset of Internet Tablet with DECT,” which means the Smart Home Phone might eventually end up forging a rather strange alliance between a DECT cordless phone and a tablet device. So far, FCC label photos have revealed the back portion of the Smart Home Phone (that frankly, hardly offers us any other kind of information), while the Test Setup Photos do point towards a blurry image of the device’s front and bottom segment. This will most probably end up as a consumer home phone system with tablet functionality that allows you to view contacts and caller data. No idea on pricing and availability, but it ought to hit the market soon considering it has already received FCC approval.
