Verizon to announce LTE Nokia Windows Phone devices at CES 2012?
While the Android world has started blazing ahead of the competition with LTE phones, it looks like Windows Phone might be next in line to join them. According to reports online, Verizon plans to announce a Nokia Windows Phone at CES next year, and seeing how Nokia has been the only carrier so far that has mentioned plans to bring LTE WP devices to the market, there is a possibility of the phone being LTE-capable.
According to a recent report from PCMag.com, one of the reasons for lack of CDMA devices running WP could have been due to the lack of LTE support. But all that should soon change with updates to the operating system. However, once Nokia starts building LTE-capable WP phones, you can expect other manufacturers to follow suit if the phones are received well. What do you think? Any of you holding out on getting a WP device just because they’re not LTE-capable yet?
