PlayStation Suite SDK beta registration is now open

PlayStation Vita boxListen up if you’re a developer and have already cast an eye on the Android and/or PlayStation Vita platforms – consumer electronics giant Sony has just announced that their PlayStation Suite SDK beta is now open for registration, where it will enable developers who qualify build apps (read: games) for both the Android and Vita platforms. Originally talked about at the Tokyo Game Show just a couple of months ago, the application process for a closed beta test has just opened up – being a window of opportunity to those who are interested (and lucky enough to be selected).

Windows XP and Windows 7 users who currently reside in the US, UK and Japan are able to submit their credentials to obtain access and be the envy of your equally geeky mates. For folks who receive the nod of approval from Sony, you will be able to work on apps that will see action on the PS Vita which is headed your way in February 2012, not to mention having fun with the PS Suite, a “hardware-neutral” framework which will enable access from non-PlayStation branded devices such as the Xperia Play, Tablet S and Tablet P.
