If you do not want to take the stereoscopic 3D route, the Lumix 3D1 will still be able to dish out traditional 2D images at 12-megapixels for stills and Full HD videos. Want to switch between 2D and 3D modes? Doing so is literally a snap – all you need to do is flip the dedicated 2D/3D switch located right at the back of the camera and you’re good to go.
Other hardware capabilities include its iA (Intelligent Auto) mode, MEGA O.I.S, AF Tracking, Intelligent Scene Selector, Face Recognition and Intelligent ISO Control, Intelligent Exposure and Intelligent Handheld Nightshot. To keep up with the times, there is also a 3.5″ Smart Touch screen at the back that makes menu selection even easier afterwards. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-3D1 will hit the streets next month for $499.99 each. Any takers? [Press Release]
