Other than the fact that they’re made of see through material, they can function like regular touch-based devices, featuring multi-touch capability but lacking in the tactile feedback department. What’s interesting about these devices is the fact that they run on open source software. This means that anybody who knows how to can customize the way they want their glass keyboard or mouse to work. Users will be able to share the software online for input and to help other people into making their keyboards and mice work better.
However, coolness comes with a price, and these keyboards and mice sure aren’t cheap. The mouse starts off at $150, while the keyboard will set you back $250 and buying both at once will cost you $350. The project has yet to reach half of its intended goal, but for the sake of all its backers and its creator – let’s hope it does make it in time. Find out more at the source link.
